The Stone Arch Bridge is located a mere 15 miles from our shop and is a part of our county's spooky lore! It's no surprise it's the second addition to our Haunted Places Wax Melt line.

Magickal Properties: These were created to ward off all types of evil and un-hex. They're made with magickal herbs to promote overall protection and banishing.

Scent: These wax melts are inspired by the bridge and park. They're woodsy mix of forest greens, pine needles, woodland rose, baby violet and geranium tucked in warm patchouli. They're then met with the witchy scents of juniper and black cedar wood.

Lore: The Stone Arch Bridge is the spot where one of the infamous Hex Murders of the 19th century took place. On a Snowy Night in January 1892 a man named

George Markert was murdered by his brother-in-law upon the bridge. George's brother-in-law believed that Markert had placed a hex upon him and the only way to set everything in his life right was to murder him upon the bridge (witches were believed to be powerless above running water) using three different murder methods. Yikes! For more information on this fascinating story (we only scratched the surface in this blurb) head to this post written by our county's historian.
